Sewing Room Makeover

My husband ask me what I wanted for my Birthday.  I just happened yo see a tutorial for  "peg board" on Pinterest. I copied it off and handed it to him.
I said, "You can make this".
I didn't think about it again until a day before my birthday. I was just returning home from the LQS when he said my gift came early.
I walked into the Family Room to a huge peg board. (The length of the sofa). He had a friend make it.
My first thought was it was way to big.
He hung it while I was playing and lunch with the girls.
It fit  perfect!
I have just started to fill it and it is filling up fast. I love it.
And it was the best surprise!

Quilty Fun Birthday

I had some Quilty Fun on my Birthday this year.
Lori Holt started a Sew Along and it just happened to be on my Birthday.

Sister Peg not only plans her own Birthday Parties but she plans mine also.

Some of our quilt group friends got together to start the
Sew Along

We took a break to have lunch with my girls.
Our group was so big that we had to move to a bigger table.

Daughters and Friends together on my Birthday.  Doesn't get much better than that.
Then add Quilting!

Love the new book.
Block 1-first week.
Here we go!

"If the Shoe Fits"

Finished this Halloween Wall hanging in time to put it away for next Year.
Still needs the quilting and buttons on the shoes.  Next Year!

Halloween Costume

I took some time out from quilting this past month because 26 year old Son wanted me to make him a Halloween Costume.
He wanted to be Benjamin Franklin

He thought he was doing me a favor by buying this pattern online.
It might be "Reconstructing History" but but they were trying to do it without very good instructions.
This pattern was a real challenge to work with.
No markings,no diagrams....

So Here I Go!

Tracing the size I needed.

Oh yes, don't forget the lining

Ready to start Sewing...
Finished in time for Halloween
He was very happy with it.
I was very happy with it and very happy it was done.
