Quilt for Megan and Chris

Mom used to make tied quilts for the grandkids for a wedding present.
My Sisters have carried on the tradition. Donna helped me put this on on the frames when she was here a few weeks ago. We tied a few rows and I finished it this week. Sally made the last one so it was my turn.
Peg's Daughter Meagan was getting married so she didn't have to worry about this one.
I am counting this as my 6th quilt in 2009. I am now ready to start some new projects.
I still have 3 more quilts to complete this year, so I better get busy.

Graduation Day

Quillow in the making

Maddie Graduates from MJH (purple and gold) today.

Good Job Maddie

"This is not your Granny's Quillow"

For Maddie I kicked it up a notch and put satin on the back. It feels fabulous! I also quilted it with straight lines on the machine.

folds into pillow Nephew Tyler Graduates from MTV Red and Blue).

Good Job Tyler!

This quillow looks exactly like the one Mom made for her grandchildren when they graduated from High School.

Mom had 63 grandchildren and now that she is gone her daughters have tried to keep the tradition and make a quillow for the graduate.

We only have 8 more to go.

Quilt Festival

Favorite quilt so far.

"Pink and Black Dresses"

This was a block of the month embroidery from Bobbysocks Quilt Co. a few years ago. I loved the dress design and I love the color pink. It took me two years to finish the embroidery and then another year to decide on how to set it. A friend Gail did the quilting and the quilting is fabulous. I have four daughters and two daughter-in -laws and they all say this is quilt they want when I die. Well I'm not going anywhere except to the fabric store for more fabric.

What ever Happened to matching "Easter Dresses"

Since I don't make Easter Dresses anymore I still think about the days I did.
Back in the day, everyone had to match. Even if you weren't happy about it, the boys.

This is my first Easter I could sew for Brent and Kim, yes I made Brent's outfit.

I loved those dresses.

Yes Pink again!
We moved on to everyone with the same color. Blue and White
